In Odessa, authorities are cleaning up the aftermath of a Russian attack on residential buildings in three districts

The Odessa City Military Administration reported extensive damage to residential buildings in the Primorsky, Kyivsky, and Khadzhibey districts of the city as a result of Russian shelling on March 28, 2026.

The Primorsky district suffered the most damage, with 23 buildings damaged, affecting 513 apartments and 1,058 window openings. As of March 30, utility services and volunteers had already boarded up about 80% of the broken windows, particularly in administrative buildings, and the acceptance of documents for compensation has been transferred to the district administration.

In the Kyivskyi district of the city, damage was recorded to 11 private homes, whose residents were provided assistance with temporary roof and window repairs. The Khadzhibeyskyi district reports damage to ten high-rise buildings and four private homes, where 142 windows have already been repaired. The Department of Public Works is currently working on documenting the status of the properties for subsequent compensation payments under the state program “eRecovery.” In addition to state aid, affected residents are receiving guidance on applying for financial assistance from the Odessa city budget.

The enemy struck Odesa: two dead and 11 wounded.
