A street in Odesa was renamed in honor of a family killed by the Russians
In Odesa, Ilf and Petrov Street was renamed in honor of the Glodan family, all of whom were killed in the war.
On April 23, 2022, three-month-old Kira Glodan, her mother Valeria, and her grandmother Lyudmila were killed when a Russian missile struck the “Tiras” residential complex. The husband and father of the victims, Yuriy Glodan, was mobilized into the Defense Forces after losing his family, served in the Azov Brigade and the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, and was killed in action near Avdiivka on September 12, 2023. The entire family is buried in the village of Avangard in the Odesa region.
