On Tuesday, July 22, variable cloudiness is expected across Ukraine. Most regions will see a rain-free day, though forecasters predict brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. According to the forecast, brief showers are possible overnight in the east of the country and during the day in the southwestern regions.
Weather conditions in the Odesa region will be more challenging. Moderate, and in some places heavy, rain and thunderstorms are forecast there, and in certain areas, hail and squalls with wind speeds of 15–20 meters per second are possible. No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of Ukraine.
The Hydrometeorological Center explained that cooler air from the northwest will flow into most of the country. That is why temperatures will be more comfortable than in recent days. “On July 22, we forecast calm, dry weather in most regions. Only in areas affected by an atmospheric front—at night in the east of the country and during the day in the southwestern part—do we expect brief showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the Odesa region, heavy rain, and in some areas, hail and squalls of 15–20 m/s,” meteorologists reported.
It will be warmest in the south and east of Ukraine, where warmer air masses will persist. Overnight, temperatures will range from 10–15 degrees Celsius, and during the day, temperatures will rise to +21…+26 degrees.
It will be warmer in the southern and eastern regions. There, nighttime temperatures are forecast to be +14…+19 degrees, and during the day, thermometers will show +24…+29 degrees. Winds will be from the west and northwest at speeds of 5–10 meters per second.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, variable cloudiness with no precipitation is also expected on July 22. In the capital, nighttime temperatures will range from +13 to +15 degrees, and daytime temperatures from +22 to +24 degrees. Across the region, nighttime temperatures are forecast to be +10 to +15 degrees, while daytime temperatures will reach +21 to +26 degrees.
Forecasters advise residents of the Odesa region and southwestern regions to be cautious due to possible thunderstorms, heavy downpours, hail, and gusty winds. In other regions, the weather will be favorable for work, travel, and outdoor recreation. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
On Wednesday, July 22, no electricity consumption restrictions are planned in Ukraine.
