Man shot dead in the middle of the street in Odesa, four bullets fired into his head
On the evening of December 9, a fatal shooting occurred on Fontanska Road in Odesa.
According to Dumskaya, eyewitnesses reported hearing gunshots around 18:00 and saw an injured man lying on the street. Medical personnel who arrived at the scene confirmed that the victim had died from gunshot wounds.
Eyewitnesses say that four bullets were fired into the man’s head; it is believed that the victim was a military serviceman.
Currently, an investigative team is working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are inspecting the area, determining all circumstances of the incident, and identifying the person responsible for the crime. A decision is being made about entering the case into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations.
According to local sources, the deceased is Denis Viktorovych Trebenko. Court documents indicate that he was a defendant in a civil case concerning a large debt. The claim sought to recover $53,100, of which $45,000 was principal and $8,100 was interest. The recovery was to be carried out from inheritance property. Previously, a private executor attempted to seize part of an apartment connected to the inheritance, but the court rejected this due to lack of evidence of actual inheritance acceptance and procedural violations.
