In Odessa, the military of the CCC mobilized a dog and received criminal proceedings
The Odesa Regional Police have opened a criminal investigation into animal cruelty following a high-profile incident involving representatives of the regional recruitment center.
During a conflict with civilians, the servicemen stole someone else’s dog and inflicted serious bodily harm on it.
The illegal incident involving people in military uniform gained significant attention on social media and drew public attention. Law enforcement officials responded promptly to reports from animal rights activists and began investigating the alleged facts.
As it later turned out, the report of the crime came directly from the 31-year-old owner of the injured dog.
“According to preliminary information, that evening, during a conflict between civilians and servicemen from the TCC and SP, the latter left the scene along with a Jack Russell terrier that did not belong to them, causing bodily harm to the animal,” — the National Police press service provided a detailed account of the sequence of events.
Law enforcement officials are currently identifying all military personnel who were at the scene and directly involved in the unlawful actions.
Law enforcement officials have officially announced the launch of the investigation.
