Poroshenko said Russian attacks had caused $172 million in damages
Petro Poroshenko, the fifth president of Ukraine and a member of parliament, stated that his companies have suffered significant losses as a result of Russian shelling.
According to Poroshenko, the total damage from the attacks since 2022 amounts to $172 million.
He also reported an incident in which a missile was shot down over his home.
“Yesterday, at 10:03 p.m., a missile shot down by our air defense forces exploded right above my house, perhaps 100 meters away. We are currently living in such conditions that businesses related to my field and my property have suffered losses totaling $172 million as a result of enemy attacks since 2022 alone,” Poroshenko stated.
He added that the shelling destroyed Roshen’s logistics warehouse, as well as the marmalade and marshmallow production facilities at the Kyiv Confectionery Factory. Separately, he said, three Iskander missiles completely destroyed the Dnipro Starch and Molasses Plant.
He made these remarks during a speech at the International Economic Forum in Lviv.
Earlier, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also announced his decision to decline a Polish state order, emphasizing that this move was not directed against the Polish people; at the same time, he also made critical remarks about incumbent President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In addition, Petro Poroshenko, a member of parliament and leader of “European Solidarity,” has become the owner of a 2021 Volvo S90 2.0 T8 and a 2001 King Trailers GTS443-17.5 semi-trailer. These vehicles previously belonged to his wife, Maryna Poroshenko. However, according to a ruling by the Vinnytsia Court of Appeals on April 20, this property was transferred to Petro Poroshenko.
