Fuel prices have changed in Ukraine: how much do gasoline and diesel cost?

As of June 16, 2026, Ukraine’s largest gas station chains have updated their fuel prices, maintaining high prices for gasoline and diesel.

The average price of A-95 gasoline is about 75.77 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel costs an average of 83.48 UAH per liter.

According to market data, some chains have already adjusted their fuel prices. In particular, WOG and OKKO have lowered the price of diesel fuel by approximately 1 UAH.

The highest fuel prices are traditionally found at OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR stations, while more affordable options remain at Ukrnafta and BRSM-Nafta stations.

Experts note that the fuel market remains sensitive to logistics costs, fluctuations in global oil prices, and exchange rates, which directly affect retail prices.

It is also noted that Ukraine had a temporary anti-crisis support program in place, which was introduced to curb citizens’ fuel expenses.

The program ran from March 20 to May 31, 2026, and, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, approximately 2.3 million Ukrainians took advantage of it.

The initiative provided for compensation of:

  • 15% of the cost of diesel fuel;
  • 10% of the cost of gasoline;
  • 5% of the cost of autogas.

After the program ended, the market returned to market-based pricing, which led to fuel prices remaining high.

Ukrainian gas station chains have updated their fuel prices—the cost of gasoline, diesel, and automotive gas has gone down again. Many gas stations have reported lower fuel prices. In some places, prices have dropped by 1–3 hryvnias per liter, which has affected the overall cost of filling up a car.

The NBU has cited the reasons why fuel prices in Ukraine are not falling despite the drop in oil prices.
