Ukraine has approved a draft Customs Code based on the European model — Svyrydenko
Ukraine has taken another step toward European integration. On May 28, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft of the new Customs Code, which has been adapted to European standards. The document is part of Ukraine’s commitments within the framework of the EU accession negotiations.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram:
This is one of the key steps toward Ukraine’s accession to the EU and the fulfillment of our commitments within the membership negotiation process.
It is fully aligned with the EU Customs Code and introduces customs rules that are uniform with those of the European Union.
These are new approaches to customs procedures, authorizations, guarantees, declarations, and duty exemptions.
For Ukrainian businesses, this means clearer and more predictable rules, faster adaptation to the European market, simplified logistics, and new opportunities for trade with EU member states.
At the same time, business and citizens will experience no disruption to their processes: existing authorizations will remain valid, and the “single window” system will operate as usual.
As a reminder, the government plans to employ 100,000 veterans by 2030
The Ukrainian government, in collaboration with the World Bank, is developing the “Economy of the Future” strategy.
The state program “eOselya” dominates the market and leaves no room for the development of market-based mortgages.
