Prices for seasonal berries and fruits have changed rapidly in Ukraine
As of June 19, 2026, the Ukrainian market saw significant price fluctuations for seasonal produce—the price of strawberries rose by 20% at once, while the price of cherries fell slightly by 3.23%.
At the same time, prices for most popular imported fruits, including bananas, oranges, and lemons, remained stable.
According to the latest information from Kyiv’s “Stolichny” market, the price range for strawberries currently stands at 91–180 hryvnias per kilogram, which is due to a temporary decrease in supply.
Cherries from local farms are being offered to buyers at prices ranging from 130 to 190 hryvnias per kilogram.
Meanwhile, the price of apples remains between 28 and 55 hryvnias, bananas between 60 and 65 hryvnias, oranges between 70 and 85 hryvnias, and lemons between 140 and 150 hryvnias per kilogram.
According to the financial portal “Minfin,” supermarkets also show price variations depending on the brand and region.
The best deals on bananas are currently available at the “ATB” chain, while “Silpo” attracts shoppers with the widest selection of fresh berries.
The “Novus” chain has the lowest price for apples, averaging 40.56 hryvnia per kilogram.
At the same time, the market has seen a decrease in the prices of cherries and blueberries compared to the previous week.
However, for other stone fruits and berries—including blueberries, apricots, and raspberries—sellers have, on the contrary, raised their maximum selling prices. Experts attribute this to unstable supply volumes and the start of the harvest for new varieties.
