Water rates in Lutsk have nearly doubled
Members of the Lutsk City Council have approved a resolution to raise rates for centralized water supply and wastewater services. Effective immediately, the cost of these services will be 67.42 UAH per cubic meter, up from 28.42 UAH.
The new rate will remain in effect until the end of 2026. The cost of water supply will be 29.86 UAH per cubic meter, and the cost of wastewater disposal will be 37.56 UAH.
City council officials explained that the previous rate had long failed to cover the company’s actual costs due to rising prices for electricity, fuel, chemicals, and repair work. The difference had to be covered by the community budget.
According to city officials, the tariff adjustment is intended to ensure the stable operation of the water utility and will allow budget funds to be redirected toward other community needs.
