The Netherlands will fund the production of approximately 700 Ruta missiles for Ukraine
The Netherlands will fund the production of approximately 700 Ruta cruise missiles for Ukraine. This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov during a visit to a Destinus facility.
According to Fedorov, the Ruta missiles are a key component of the medium-range strike strategy and enable effective strikes against Russian logistics routes and military facilities.
During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation was shown the Ruta Block 1 variant, which is capable of striking targets at a range of up to 300 kilometers and carrying a payload weighing up to 150 kg.
The missile flies at low altitude, following the contours of the terrain, and is equipped with satellite navigation that is resistant to signal loss and a high-precision guidance system. It is equipped with a T150 turbojet engine, which ensures high fuel efficiency and powers the onboard systems.
