In the Lviv region, the import of a Mercedes disguised as humanitarian aid was uncovered
At the “Ugryniv” border crossing in Lviv Oblast, border guards, together with customs officials, foiled an attempt to import a car under the guise of humanitarian aid.
During a document check of a 1982 Mercedes that had arrived from Lithuania, it was discovered that the car was allegedly headed to a charitable foundation in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv Oblast. However, representatives of the foundation stated that they were not expecting to receive this vehicle.
The estimated value of the car is approximately 1.2 million hryvnias.
A report was filed regarding the violation, and the vehicle was seized and transferred to a customs warehouse.
