Millions of square meters of roads have been repaired in Ukraine, and work is ongoing

Since the beginning of the year, more than 16 million square meters of road surface have been repaired in Ukraine, and the work continues even during the war, as roads are essential for logistics, the economy, and defense routes between regions. Road services continue repairs across the country, focusing on the most critical routes.

Despite the constant challenges posed by full-scale war, a large-scale restoration of road infrastructure is underway in Ukraine, and more than 16 million square meters of pavement have already been repaired since the start of the year. In just one day, road crews repaired over 90,000 square meters, demonstrating the uninterrupted pace of work across all regions.

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development emphasizes that roads remain a critically important element of the country, as they ensure the movement of humanitarian cargo, military logistics, and interregional transportation. That is why repair work continues even under difficult conditions and is carried out where it is most needed. “Safe, high-quality roads are the foundation of the country’s logistics, economic stability, and defense capabilities. We are continuing to carry out road repair work to ensure uninterrupted transport links between regions and the operation of international routes,” said Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

Currently, road workers are focusing their efforts on state highways in several regions, including Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Sumy, Chernivtsi, and Kirovohrad. These routes are crucial for interregional transport and international logistics.

Every day, more than 70 road crews and over 700 specialists are engaged in the work, ensuring that the roads remain passable and safe. The main goal is to maintain stable transportation links across the country, which are critically important for both the economy and defense needs. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

Ukraine continues to expand the technological capabilities of its drones to strike military targets of Russian forces, particularly on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. The Ministry of Defense states that the development of these technologies is ongoing and will only intensify.
