Three Russian agents have been convicted in Ukraine for arson and passing on the coordinates of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions

In Ukraine, three more agents of Russian intelligence services have been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for acts of sabotage, arson, and passing on the coordinates of Ukrainian military personnel to the occupying forces.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

In the Cherkasy region, a court sentenced two men who, on behalf of the Russian Federation, set fire to a relay cabinet near a railway station and two military pickup trucks. According to the investigation, the perpetrators were drug addicts and agreed to carry out tasks for Russian intelligence agencies in exchange for money.

The SBU noted that the men were detained in September 2024 “hot on the trail”—less than a day after the arson attacks.

The investigation established that both had been recruited through Telegram channels, where they were offered “easy money.”

Also in the Donetsk region, another Russian agent, who was detained in February 2025, was sentenced. According to the SBU, the man passed on the coordinates of Ukrainian military personnel in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk areas to the FSB.

As law enforcement officials discovered, the traitor turned out to be a local unemployed man who held pro-Russian views and was awaiting the occupation of the region. Russian intelligence agencies took notice of him after he posted pro-Kremlin comments on the social network “Odnoklassniki.”

After being recruited, the agent patrolled frontline areas, recorded the locations of Ukrainian military units, and passed this data to the occupiers to prepare airstrikes.

The court found the defendants guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, including treason, sabotage, obstruction of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and intentional damage to property.

Earlier, the court sentenced nine Ukrainian citizens who fought against the Armed Forces on the side of the Russian Federation to up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The SBU detained the head of the Medical Examination Commission in Kropyvnytskyi for selling disability certificates.
