On March 23, rolling blackouts will be implemented in all regions of Ukraine
On Monday, March 23, power restrictions will be in effect across all regions of Ukraine due to a power shortage in the grid.
The main reason for implementing the schedules is the impact of massive Russian attacks using missiles and kamikaze drones on critical energy infrastructure facilities.
Regional energy companies and the DTEK holding have published detailed schedules of power outages for residential consumers.
The restrictions will apply to both large cities and rural areas, as energy providers strive to balance the system and avoid emergencies at the remaining nodes.
In the capital, the schedules will mainly apply during evening peak load hours.
For Kyiv residents, specific time slots have been designated for different consumer groups: groups 8, 20, 32, 44, and 56 will be without power from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, while groups 9, 21, 33, 45, and 57 will be subject to restrictions from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM.
The situation is similar in the Kyiv region: for group 1.1, power cuts are scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and for group 6.1—from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Experts note that strict adherence to these schedules depends on the current situation in the power grid, which remains unstable following the latest enemy attacks.
The Mykolaiv region will also feel the effects of the shortage. Specifically, for Group 1.2, power will be cut from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM; for Group 5.1, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM; and Group 6.2 will be without power the longest—from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Energy officials are asking residents of the region to charge their devices in advance.
Time slots have also been announced in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
In Zaporizhzhia, Group 3.2 will be without power from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Group 6.2 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the schedule for Group 2.2 will be in effect from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM, for Group 42—from 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and for Group 6.2—from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
As a reminder, no power outages are expected in Ukraine on Sunday, March 22—electricity will be available around the clock in all regions.
Also, due to an accident at a power facility, parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region are without power.
