The Anti-Corruption Court has set bail for MP Kachny

The High Anti-Corruption Court has ordered a bail bond as a preventive measure for MP Oleksandr Kachny.

The court partially granted the request of NABU investigators and set bail at 3 million hryvnias. It must be paid within five days.

In addition, the MP was subject to a number of obligations: to appear when summoned by investigators and prosecutors, not to leave Kyiv without permission, to report any change of residence, and to refrain from communicating with certain individuals.

According to the investigation, in 2020–2021, Kachny acquired assets worth nearly 13 million hryvnias, which exceeds his official income.

This includes, in particular, the purchase of a cottage and a plot of land on the Black Sea coast, as well as an apartment in central Kyiv. Additionally, the design and renovation of the property cost over 5.5 million hryvnias.

The MP has been notified of suspicion of illicit enrichment.

As a reminder, the court is considering Tymoshenko’s appeal against the seizure of her property.

The court has also lifted the seizure of some of Yulia Tymoshenko’s and her husband’s property.
