The High Anti-Corruption Court remanded Metrobud CEO Yelizarov into custody in the Forest Gump case

The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a pretrial restriction on Valentin Yelizarov, the head of PJSC “Metrobud.” He has been remanded in custody until October 18, with the option of posting bail in the amount of 20 million hryvnia.

According to investigators, Elizarov, acting on instructions from Maksym Mykytas, provided legal support and exerted judicial pressure to seize the companies “Budmontazhservis” and “Filosofiya Development.”

In addition, investigators believe that he coordinated financial flows and transactions through companies under his control to raise funds for Herman Galushchenko’s bail. Elizarov allegedly met with representatives of Sense Bank and other institutions to find ways to circumvent financial monitoring systems.

The prosecutor requested bail in the amount of 35 million hryvnia. The court set it at 20 million hryvnia.

If bail is posted, Yelizarov will be required to wear an electronic ankle monitor, surrender his passport, not leave Lviv without permission, not contact witnesses, suspects, or victims, and not visit the premises of companies involved in the case.

The case is linked to the NABU and SAPO special operations “Forest Gump” and “Themis.” As part of “Forest Gump,” law enforcement officials are investigating the laundering of 150 million hryvnia, which, according to the investigation, was used to post bail for one of the defendants in the “Midas” case.

Incidentally, the prosecutor is requesting that Mykytas be arrested with bail set at 200 million hryvnias.

Iryna Mudra, the former deputy head of the Office of the President, has been detained. She is currently at the NABU headquarters, where investigative proceedings are ongoing.

NABU has published the full transcript of the wiretaps in the Forest Gump case.
