The High Anti-Corruption Court approved a settlement in the case of former State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleksiy Takhtay

On June 22, the High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement involving former State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleksiy Takhtay.

According to media reports, Takhtay was charged with embezzlement on an especially large scale, receiving unlawful benefits, and laundering proceeds obtained through criminal means.

At the same time, it is noted that the text of the verdict has not been made public, and information regarding the final sentence has not yet been officially disclosed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a state institution, acted as the injured party in the case and consented to the plea agreement.

Oleksiy Takhtay is a former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and has previously been mentioned in a number of anti-corruption investigations related to activities within the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
