Eight forest fires have been contained in the Kharkiv region
As of the morning of September 5, in the Kharkiv region, rescue workers from the State Emergency Service, together with forestry workers, had contained eight wildfires. The fires broke out in the Izyum and Chuhuiv districts.
According to rescue workers, the total area affected by the fires is approximately 86 hectares.
The largest fire hotspots were recorded in the Izyum and Petrivsk forest districts.

Near the village of Ivanivka, two fires are burning, each covering an area of about 20 hectares, and another fire covering 23 hectares is burning near the village of Rudneve,” the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Oblast reported.

According to the State Emergency Service, there is currently no risk of the fire spreading to the upper branches of the trees.
Rescue workers and forestry employees are continuing efforts to extinguish the fires and are monitoring the situation at the fire sites.

Over the past week, 78 fires were recorded in the forests managed by the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine,” covering a total of 55.4 hectares. More than 42 hectares were burned due to falling debris from enemy UAVs, strikes by KAB bombs, and FPV drones.
