Vasyl Virastyuk paid a touching tribute to his father, who passed away 14 years ago
Ukrainian athlete and Member of Parliament Vasyl Virastyuk paid tribute to his father, Yaroslav Virastyuk. He posted a touching message dedicated to his father.
The father of the famous strongman passed away 14 years ago. Virastyuk decided to remember him and share his memories with his followers.
Fourteen years ago, on July 28, Vasyl Virastyuk’s father passed away. That day is also Yaroslav Virastyuk’s birthday.
The strongman shared a personal reflection. Virastyuk regrets that his children no longer have their grandfather’s “strong support” by their side.
“It’s been 14 years since Dad left us. You could do anything—no matter what you set your hands to, you never knew the words ‘I can’t’ or ‘there isn’t’... It’s such a shame that your grandchildren are growing up without their grandfather’s strong ‘wing,’” Virastyuk wrote.
Incidentally, July 27 marked seven years since the death of Vasyl Virastyuk’s brother, Roman, who was a bronze medalist at the 1994 European Championships, a 17-time Ukrainian champion, and a four-time silver medalist at the European Cup. The athlete died following a complicated heart surgery.
To mark the anniversary of his father’s death and his birthday, the athlete posted a story on Instagram.
