Stefanyishyna denied rumors that she was stepping down as ambassador to the U.S.

Olga Stefanishyna, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the U.S., denied reports that her resignation was being discussed. During a press conference in Washington, she stated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had not asked her to step down and is counting on their continued collaboration according to a pre-established plan.

The diplomat also addressed allegations regarding a possible “conflict of interest” and issues with asset declarations. She described this as a routine process for those in the President’s inner circle and emphasized her readiness to travel to Ukraine, if necessary, to provide a public explanation.

Meanwhile, the media continue to discuss potential candidates for her position, including Rustem Umerov and Yulia Svyrydenko. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally confirmed that he had offered Yulia Svyrydenko the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States. However, she declined the offer.
