Teachers may not have their deferral automatically extended

Principals of general secondary schools must urgently update the data on teaching staff subject to military service in the AIKOM system by July 3, 2026. This is necessary to ensure the automatic extension of deferrals from military conscription through the “Reserve+” app, where the corresponding feature is scheduled to become operational on August 1, 2026. 

This is stated in a notice from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine requesting that the information be updated.

If the information in the database is missing, outdated, or incorrect, the automated process will not be possible, forcing educators to visit the Territorial Recruitment and Enlistment Center (TCK), the Military Registration and Enlistment Office (SP), or the Administrative Service Center (CNA) in person. To avoid such disruptions, school administrators must verify in their RNOKPP offices the details of each employee, including their position, designation of primary place of employment, and actual workload. Only those teachers for whom the school is the primary place of employment and whose workload is at least 0.75 of a full-time position are entitled to a legal deferral. The entered data will be automatically cross-checked against the registers of the Pension Fund of Ukraine after the final verification of the “General Secondary Education School Employees” report.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have dismantled a mobilization evasion scheme in Zakarpattia involving the fraudulent registration of fictitious military reservations. 

The Ministry of Health stated that, at the request of the Ministry of Defense, some of the reserved medical workers may be released from reserve status and called up for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military structures. The decision is made jointly with the military and regional authorities.
