The United Kingdom and Sweden Will Provide Ukraine with 15 Modern Aircraft – Starmer

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that London, in partnership with Sweden, will provide Ukraine with 15 modern aircraft to strengthen its air defense capabilities.

The British government is allocating 300 million pounds for this initiative. Starmer made this announcement on July 16 during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

“I am pleased to inform you that today we are taking this a step further, as I can announce that the United Kingdom is providing 300 million pounds in support to, in cooperation with Sweden, supply 15 new, modern aircraft to help defend Ukraine’s skies,” Starmer said.

He also expressed his conviction that the mood in Moscow is shifting, and that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is forced to acknowledge that the full-scale invasion is creating more and more domestic problems for him. According to the British prime minister, now is the time to step up pressure on Russia.
