The Verkhovna Rada summoned the head of the National Bank of Ukraine over the Monobank scandal

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine summoned Andriy Pyshnyy, the Governor of the National Bank, to a session regarding the disclosure of a Monobank customer’s personal data. The motion was supported by 153 deputies.

The summons was initiated by MP Oleksiy Goncharenko.

Pyshnyy is scheduled to appear before parliament on March 26 at 12:00 p.m.

Earlier, Monobank co-founder Oleg Gorokhovsky posted a photo of the client online, taken during video verification. In the photo, he claimed that a Russian flag was visible in the background. The client denied this, noting that the flag on the wall was actually that of Slovenia, and expressed outrage over the publication of her photo without her consent.

Earlier, MP Danylo Getmantsev, who heads the Verkhovna Rada’s Finance Committee, decided to make headlines again—this time with a video message “greeting” Monobank.
