The Supreme Court will announce its decision on sanctions against Poroshenko on July 10
The Supreme Court has concluded its review of Petro Poroshenko’s lawsuit challenging the sanctions imposed by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council in February 2025.
The ruling is scheduled to be announced on July 10 at 10:00 a.m. Poroshenko himself stated that the case has been pending for about a year and a half, although, according to him, the law provides for significantly shorter timeframes.
The politician also emphasized that the delay in the proceedings violates his rights and called for no pressure to be exerted on the judges. According to him, representatives of diplomatic missions are monitoring the progress of the case.
As a reminder, sanctions were imposed against Petro Poroshenko by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted on February 13, 2025. The leader of “European Solidarity” is challenging them in the Supreme Court.
Following inspections in May, the two largest payment terminal networks—EasyPay (LLC “FC ‘Kontraktovy Dom’”) and City24 (LLC “Swift Garant”)—were hit with massive fines: 135 million hryvnias each.
Earlier, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko also announced that he was renouncing a Polish state order, emphasizing that this move was not directed against the Polish people; at the same time, he also made critical remarks about incumbent President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In addition, People’s Deputy and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko became the owner of a 2021 Volvo S90 2.0 T8 and a 2001 King Trailers GTS443-17.5 semi-trailer. These vehicles previously belonged to his wife, Maryna Poroshenko. However, according to a ruling by the Vinnytsia Court of Appeals on April 20, this property was transferred to Petro Poroshenko.
