The home of former brigade commander Luchanov, a suspect in the murder of two brothers, exploded
On the evening of September 19, a house in the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region caught fire. The house belonged to the family of Stanislav Luchanov, the former commander of the 155th Mechanized Brigade, who is suspected of the kidnapping and murder of brothers Maksym and Roman Moseychuk. Before the fire broke out, local residents heard three explosions.
Rescue workers speculate that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring. The fire did not spread to the rest of the house, and it was extinguished. Earlier that day, Luchanov’s wife, Daryna, was seen in the village with their two children.
At the same time, a relative of the murdered Moseychuk brothers speculates that explosive devices with timers may have been planted in the house in advance to destroy it and shift the blame onto local residents. There is no official confirmation of this theory.

As a reminder, the court has begun hearing the case regarding the selection of a pretrial measure for Stanislav Luchanov, the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He is suspected of involvement in the abduction and murder of two brothers in the Kyiv region. During the court hearing on July 14, prosecutor Serhiy Mirzoyan revealed details of the abduction and murder of the Moseychuk brothers in the Kyiv region. According to the investigation, Luchanov decided to enlist eight military personnel under his command to carry out the kidnapping of the brothers. On July 27, the suspected soldiers arrived at the brothers’ residence in the village of Kalynivka and unlawfully entered their property. According to the prosecutor, they used physical force against the brothers, tied their hands and feet, blindfolded them, and forcibly placed them in vehicles. The brothers were then taken to military unit A5001 near Poltava, where they were unlawfully detained until July 1. According to the investigation, on that day Luchanov decided to kill the brothers to cover up the abduction and enlisted the help of battalion commander Oleksiy Dolgolenko.
The Rokytne District Court of Kyiv Oblast imposed a pretrial restraint measure on Stanislav Luchanov, the former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Anna Kyivska.” The lieutenant colonel was taken into custody.
