Video: A fire broke out at warehouses in the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast following a drone attack
In the Kyiv region, firefighters are continuing to battle a blaze at a warehouse in the Brovary district that broke out on the afternoon of August 18 as a result of a drone strike by Russian terrorists.
“Due to the threat of repeat attacks, rescuers are forced to retreat to a safe distance, but as soon as it becomes possible, they return to work,” according to a statement from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In addition, emergency responders are working at the sites of grass fires in the Brovary and Vyshhorod districts, which were caused by falling UAV debris.
As a reminder, Kyiv has been under drone attack since the morning of August 18. In the evening, one of the Russian Shahed drones was shot down in the Dniprovskyi district.
The Kyiv Metro has made changes to train schedules on the Red and Green lines.
In the capital, air raid alerts were issued nine times on August 18 due to the threat of UAVs.
