In the Vinnytsia region, at the Brailiv station, a diesel locomotive belonging to a private quarry collided with the "Intercity+" passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Przemyśl.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to the company, there were 576 passengers on the train—none of them, nor any railway workers, were injured.
Passengers were accommodated at the station, and a replacement train is already on its way to pick them up.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that they are gathering information regarding transfers and coordinating with border services and other railway operators to minimize delays.
The causes of the incident are being investigated, and a special commission has been dispatched to the scene.

Ukrzaliznytsia also announced schedule changes and additional trains for passengers. Some trains will begin running on a new schedule, and new stops will be added to routes. This applies, in particular, to commuter services between the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
Additionally, Ukrzaliznytsia has launched online sales of discounted student tickets.
