Video: Border Guards Share Rare Footage of Wild Animals in the Carpathians

Border guards have released new footage from the Carpathian foothills, where modern surveillance cameras have captured images of wildlife. During round-the-clock monitoring of the state border, this technology not only helps keep track of the situation in the border zone but also occasionally captures unique moments in the lives of animals.

This time, the cameras captured several forest dwellers at once—deer, roe deer, wolves, a fox, and a wild boar. The animals moved calmly along their usual routes, paying no attention to being observed, and briefly became the stars of a sort of “forest report.”

The State Border Guard Service notes that video surveillance systems are primarily used to ensure reliable border security. They allow for the timely detection of changes in the border zone, monitoring of the territory, and rapid response to potential violations.

At the same time, such footage reveals just how rich the natural world of the Ukrainian borderlands is. Wild animals continue to live alongside the state border, and modern technology allows people to glimpse their hidden world, if only for a moment.

This was reported by the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment.

Ukraine is introducing a unified pet registration system.

The war has caused a sharp increase in the population of wild animals in Ukraine, and they are destroying crops.

As a reminder, sunflower prices in Ukraine have risen to their seasonal high.

The government has also ordered price controls on medications due to the risk of price increases.
