In the village of Mala Rohan in the Kharkiv region, police opened a criminal investigation into animal cruelty following the death of a dog, which a local resident reported had been killed.
According to law enforcement officials, on July 3, the dog’s owner reported that her dog had died as a result of physical injuries. The investigation is currently being conducted under Part 1 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the same time, another village resident contacted the police, claiming that a neighbor’s dog had run into her yard and killed nine chickens, causing property damage.
The police are examining all the circumstances of the incident and determining the cause of the animal’s death.
