Ukrainians can receive up to 19,400 UAH for firewood: how to apply for the benefit
Ukraine is currently accepting applications for one-time financial assistance to purchase solid fuel for the 2026–2027 heating season. Depending on the program and region of residence, the payment amount can reach 19,400 UAH.
Applications can be submitted to the regional offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, Administrative Service Centers (TSNAP), local councils, or local government bodies. To apply, you must submit an application and a certificate confirming that your home has a stove or a solid-fuel kitchen hearth.
Assistance is provided in the form of housing subsidies, benefits, and international support programs. Additional payments of up to 19,400 UAH are available for certain households in frontline regions—the list of recipients is determined by local military administrations.
Applications will be accepted until August 17, 2026. However, Ukrainians who have already received international financial assistance for the purchase of solid fuel are not eligible to simultaneously receive a state benefit for the same purpose.

Ukrainians and social institutions are purchasing firewood at a significantly higher rate. Since the beginning of the year, nearly 1.1 million cubic meters of firewood have been sold in Ukraine, which is approximately twice as much as during the same period last year.
