22 potential judges for the High Anti-Corruption Court have been identified: list
The High Qualification Commission of Judges, together with the Public Council of International Experts, has selected 22 candidates for judgeships at the High Anti-Corruption Court.
This was reported by Transparency International Ukraine.
It is noted that the candidates have passed the preliminary selection stage and will continue to participate in the competition—interviews with the High Council of Justice are next.
A total of 73 applicants participated in the competition. Transparency International noted that the final list of candidates is a compromise, and questions remain regarding some of them that the High Council of Justice must consider.
It is expected that the appointment of new judges will help expedite the consideration of high-level corruption cases and reduce the workload on the current composition of the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The organization emphasized that the selection of judges is a crucial element of Ukraine’s fulfillment of its European integration commitments under the Ukraine Facility Plan.
