Zelenskyy announced news regarding Patriot missiles following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that news regarding the PURL program is in the works following a conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The head of state wrote about this on Telegram.

According to the president, during the conversation, the parties discussed strengthening air defense, specifically the capabilities of the PURL program, which allows Ukraine to purchase missiles for Patriot systems from the United States.

“I spoke with Mark Rutte about air defense, the PURL program, which allows us to obtain missiles for the Patriots, as well as about the key security challenges currently facing everyone in the world. It is important that we all coordinate and support one another,” Zelenskyy noted.

The President emphasized that strengthening the air defense system remains one of Ukraine’s top priorities.

“We are preparing news regarding PURL,” he added.

Details of future decisions are not being disclosed at this time.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked his Bulgarian partners for this decision and noted that it will help Ukraine strengthen its air defense system ahead of the upcoming heating season.

South Korean authorities are analyzing additional options for supporting Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia. Specifically, this involves possible participation in an international initiative related to the supply of equipment and other aid.
