Zelenskyy announced the dismissal of Yulia Svyrydenko and the heads of law enforcement agencies
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans for personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers and the leadership of law enforcement agencies, which are intended to ensure the implementation of the country’s updated political strategy.
According to the head of state, during a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, they agreed on the need to reshuffle the government. Agreements with international partners regarding the country’s reconstruction and recovery currently require special attention.
The President expressed his gratitude to Svyrydenko for her effective work at the helm of the government and offered her the opportunity to lead a new initiative in relations with one of Ukraine’s key international partners. The President did not specify whether this partner is the U.S. or the EU. In addition, personnel changes will affect law enforcement agencies.
“I am grateful to Yulia for her clear, steady, and effective work as Prime Minister, for her years of productive work as part of Ukraine’s team, and I have offered her the opportunity to lead a new, significant initiative in relations with a key partner. I expect that, together with members of parliament, we will carry out the necessary replacements in the Ukrainian government. There will also be changes in the leadership of law enforcement agencies,” Zelenskyy wrote in a Telegram post.
In the near future, the relevant personnel decisions and appointments will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration.
Earlier, Svyrydenko denied rumors about the dismissal of Education Minister Lisovyi.
Lisovyi explained whether he would continue to serve if dismissed from his post.
