Zelenskyy Reached an Agreement with Rutte to Speed Up the Delivery of Missiles for Air Defense
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. The parties discussed the supply of interceptor missiles to protect against air attacks.
During the conversation, they also coordinated further steps with international partners to expedite the adoption of necessary decisions.
Ukraine continues to work on obtaining additional air defense capabilities to help protect cities, critical infrastructure, and the population from Russian strikes.
“We are working as hard as possible with all partners who can help with the supply of interceptor missiles to defend against such disproportionate Russian strikes targeting ordinary life, people, and civilian objects. I spoke today with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the entire situation,” he said.
According to him, the NATO Secretary General is well informed about the threats.
At the same time, the parties coordinated efforts regarding countries that possess the necessary missiles and the capacity to assist.
“It is important to cut through all the red tape and make the necessary political decisions. Literally every day, people’s lives here in Ukraine depend on the resolve of our partners in Europe and America,” the head of state emphasized.
He expressed gratitude to partners for their willingness to explore opportunities and work with Ukraine to ensure the necessary supplies.

Zelenskyy discussed Ukraine’s ballistic defense with the British Defense Minister.
British Defense Minister Wes Streeting made his first visit to Kyiv since taking office. He came to personally assess Ukraine’s needs ahead of winter and determine the next steps for military support.
Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine is being denied air defense missiles in an attempt to coerce it into negotiations with Russia.
