Zelenskyy has instructed officials to strengthen coordination with partners to bolster Ukraine's air defense capabilities
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that he held a meeting with military leaders, during which they discussed countering Russian ballistic missile strikes, the situation on the front lines, and strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.
According to the head of state, the meeting participants identified technological and asymmetric solutions to improve the effectiveness of the country’s defenses. They also discussed the situation in the Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka sectors, the development of the maritime export corridor, and the conduct of operations to strike Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories, particularly in Crimea.
The President instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to strengthen coordination and information sharing with the military leadership of countries in the region. In addition, teams from the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the President will work with European partners to secure the supply of additional missiles for air defense systems.
Separately, Zelenskyy announced that the General Staff is preparing systemic changes designed to improve the assessment of the situation on the front lines, accelerate responses to changes in the situation, and provide brigades with greater capabilities to repel Russian assaults.
