Zelenskyy called the supply of air defense systems Ukraine's top priority
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the timeline for the delivery of air defense systems is crucial for Ukraine and determines the work of the entire diplomatic and defense team. According to him, this is precisely the area where the government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Defense must now focus their efforts to the greatest extent possible. He emphasized that the country’s security depends directly on the speed of these deliveries.
It is precisely the pace and reliability of air defense system deliveries that determine the effectiveness of all of Ukraine’s international cooperation. “The air defense delivery schedule is a key schedule for Ukraine and represents the personal responsibility of diplomats across all areas of our cooperation with partners,” Zelenskyy noted.
He stressed that the government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Defense must focus their main efforts on this area. “We need results,” the president added.
According to him, detailed meetings have been held in recent days with the diplomatic team to plan activities through August. Zelenskyy noted that there is a lot of international work ahead, but the main priority remains ensuring that Ukraine is equipped with air defense systems in accordance with agreements with partners. Volodymyr Zelenskyy made these remarks in an evening video address.
