Zelenskyy Discussed Defense Aid and Air Defense with the Speaker of the Danish Parliament

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Soren Helle, Speaker of the Danish Folketing, to discuss financial contributions to Ukraine’s defense industry, direct defense assistance, and the strengthening of the air defense system.

The head of state thanked the government, parliament, and people of Denmark for their consistent support and expressed gratitude for their condolences regarding the loss of life caused by the latest Russian attacks, emphasizing the need to maintain the focus of international support.

“Financial contributions to Ukrainian defense production and direct defense assistance—above all, air defense systems to protect against jet drones and ballistic missiles—are important. There are also opportunities within the European SAFE program that we can implement together with Denmark to strengthen our shared security. We discussed all of this today,” Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy reported this on Facebook.

Ukraine has received a second batch of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark. The Western aircraft are already in Ukraine.

Denmark has provided Ukraine with an additional 10 mobile climate-controlled storage units for aviation equipment. They are designed for equipment that requires specific temperature and humidity conditions.
