Zelenskyy discussed security coordination in Europe with the President of Finland

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, emphasizing the importance of substantive coordination in Europe.

Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.

“That is exactly what we are doing with Alex. I briefed him on the meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region that I have had in recent days. Strategic agreements are already in place, and our contribution to security and stabilization can be significant,” Zelenskyy noted.

The President of Finland spoke about his activities, while Zelenskyy emphasized that in a world where the situation is unstable, not a single day can be wasted: joint action and results are needed. Formats for communication with other European leaders are being discussed.

The leaders also focused on efforts regarding the United States and discussed the recent drone incident in Finland. “Alex and I see this situation the same way. We are providing all necessary information. Thank you!” Zelenskyy added.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine had discussed cooperation with Middle Eastern countries regarding maritime drones and navigation safety in the Strait of Hormuz. Ukraine’s experience in unblocking the Black Sea corridor served as the basis for these consultations. He noted this during an online conversation with journalists.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that during his visit to the Middle East, he reached an agreement on the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine for at least one year.

Zelenskyy also signed an agreement with Qatar on missile defense.
