Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The parties discussed Ukraine’s preparations for winter, particularly increasing and safeguarding electricity generation. Zelenskyy thanked the EBRD for its assistance and noted that Ukraine counts on this support continuing.
They also discussed the energy sector, logistics, and data centers, which, according to the president, are regularly targeted by Russian attacks. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of assistance from partners in rebuilding destroyed infrastructure.
They also discussed additional measures to support Ukrainians and the economy, particularly attracting investment to support exports. According to Zelenskyy, due to Russian strikes, a significant portion of Ukraine’s food supply remains within the country, even though countries on various continents depend on these shipments.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored 362 military personnel with state awards, 176 of them posthumously. The awards were granted for courage, dedication, and the defense of the country’s sovereignty. Among the honors are orders, medals, and the “Cross of Military Merit.”
