Zelenskyy Discussed Strengthening Energy Security with Shmyhal Amid Government Changes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Denys Shmyhal amid a possible reshuffle of the Cabinet of Ministers. During their conversation, they emphasized the need for new, decisive steps to protect the energy infrastructure and enhance its resilience.

During the meeting with Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, the head of state discussed plans to ensure the resilience of Ukraine’s regions and communities.

According to the president, these plans must be implemented with the same level of quality in all regions.

Any lag in one region or another poses a threat to people’s lives,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

The President noted that Ukraine has strong intergovernmental agreements in the fields of energy and reconstruction, but they must be implemented on time. At the same time, the results achieved so far are still insufficient.
