Zelenskyy summed up the Ramstein meeting

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the main outcomes of the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense in the “Ramstein” format, which took place on April 15.

The Ukrainian president wrote about this on his X.

Zelenskyy noted that he had heard a report from Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on the results of the "Ramstein" meeting.

"Partners at 'Ramstein' noted Ukraine’s strong positions on the battlefield—I am grateful to each of our combat brigades for this. There is also a clear understanding of our needs in air defense and joint weapons production. The main thing is that every commitment announced is fully and timely fulfilled. When our defense capabilities are sufficient, Russia has no real chance of achieving its occupation goals," the president said.

He noted that the decision on new contributions to the PURL program from five partners has been confirmed.

He thanked Germany for continuing our work on Ukraine’s air defense and long-range capabilities, and the UK for continuing efforts to supply the necessary drones.

He added that Norway will allocate more than $500 million to equip brigades with drones, as well as $150 million to strengthen our logistics.

The Netherlands will provide over 200 million euros for drones.

Zelenskyy thanked Spain “for its tangible readiness to work within the framework of the European SAFE program, which will allow us to scale up our joint defense capabilities,” and Canada for further strengthening specific defense areas.

In addition, he said, Belgium will allocate additional funds for the supply of ammunition and the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense.

He also thanked Lithuania and Estonia for their contributions to the PURL program.

Zelenskyyannounced news regarding missiles for the Patriot system following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Bulgarian partners for this decision and noted that it would help Ukraine strengthen its air defense system ahead of the upcoming heating season.

South Korean authorities are analyzing additional options for supporting Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia. Specifically, this involves possible participation in an international initiative related to the supply of equipment and other aid.
