Four men have been charged in connection with an attack on military personnel at the TSK in the Kharkiv region
Police are investigating an incident in the Sakhnovshchyna district of Kharkiv Oblast. Law enforcement officials have charged four men, aged 29 to 36, with assaulting members of the Territorial Defense Forces and the Special Forces, as well as with disorderly conduct, in connection with events that took place on May 26.
This was reported on Facebook by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Oblast.
“A notification team from one of the district territorial centers for recruitment and social support arrived in the settlement to carry out official duties. Immediately upon arrival, a conflict arose between the servicemen and a group of local residents. The men made threats and subsequently attacked representatives of the TCC and SP, causing them bodily harm,” the post states.
According to preliminary investigation data, one of the suspects used a metal telescopic baton, with which he damaged a service vehicle and struck the victims.
“Additionally, during the conflict, the offenders used a substance with tear-inducing and irritating effects. As a result of these unlawful actions, the military personnel sustained bodily injuries of varying severity,” the police noted.
Four participants in the incident were detained and notified of the charges against them. Specifically, a 36-year-old man is charged under Part 2 of Article 350 (threats or violence against a public official) and Part 2 of Article 296 (hooliganism committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; a 29-year-old man—Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a 34-year-old man—Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, another 29-year-old suspect — Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism involving the use of an object specially adapted or prepared in advance to inflict bodily harm) and Part 2 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
