Video: Frost and snow have returned to the Carpathians
In the Carpathians, spring ends with snowfall and freezing temperatures.
This was reported on Facebook by Vasyl Fitsak, a mountain rescuer with the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
“Everything is stable in Chornogora; it’s snowing, and the thermometer reads -1°C,” the rescuer wrote, posting a video.
As a reminder, cool weather was expected in Ukraine over the weekend, with daytime temperatures in some areas not exceeding +10°C. According to forecasts, warmer weather will return a little later. The last days of May will be quite cool, and rain is possible.
The first month of summer will bring mostly warm weather to Ukrainians. According to preliminary forecasts, June 2026 in Ukraine will be marked by sunny days, rising temperatures, and occasional thunderstorms, which will be most active in the middle of the month. At the same time, weather conditions will vary depending on the region of the country.
