Zelenskyy, Budanov, Umerov, and Shmyhal held a special meeting
A special meeting was held in Ukraine to discuss next steps in the areas of defense, diplomacy, and humanitarian efforts. During the meeting, key priorities for the coming weeks were identified, including strengthening air defense, developing drone-related agreements with partners, and preparing for new international negotiations. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Following the meeting, it was noted that the Ukrainian side is in almost daily contact with representatives of the United States and European countries, discussing the supply of air defense systems and the implementation of previously agreed-upon defense agreements. Particular emphasis was placed on anti-ballistic capabilities, as well as on new bilateral documents regarding the production and supply of drones, including the so-called Drone Deal with the European Union.

The meeting also addressed preparations for a series of meetings in various international formats; however, the details of these negotiations are not being disclosed at this time, underscoring their sensitive nature and strategic importance for future decisions.
Separately, the meeting emphasized the need to continue the humanitarian track, particularly those exchanges for which preliminary agreements already exist. The President instructed officials to intensify contacts with international partners who can help accelerate the relevant processes and mediation mechanisms. “We must continue the humanitarian track, those exchanges that have already been agreed upon,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

It is also reported that new decisions are being prepared to support Ukraine, particularly its energy system, which remains one of the key pillars of stability amid the war. The details of these decisions are currently being finalized and are planned to be presented later.
Overall, the meeting was summarized as a working coordination between the diplomatic, defense, and humanitarian tracks, which are currently moving in parallel and defining Ukraine’s overall strategy in relations with international partners.
Ukraine has synchronized sanctions with the European Union and expanded restrictions against hundreds of individuals and companies from Russia, Iran, Sudan, and other countries that are aiding the aggression. The sanctions target companies in the defense, energy, and drone technology sectors, as well as specific officials and propagandists.
