Zelensky signed a decree on the rights of the Crimean Tatar people

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree aimed at safeguarding the rights of the Crimean Tatar people and preserving their cultural identity.

This is stated in Decree No. 293/2026.

The document provides for the guarantee of the ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and religious rights of the Crimean Tatars, as well as their sustainable development.

According to the decree, the government must immediately address the issue of granting the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people official status as a representative body.

The decree takes effect on the day of its official publication.

As a reminder, the Kremlin has already rejected the idea of an Easter truce.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that some of Ukraine’s partners have asked to reduce strikes on Russia’s oil sector following the global energy crisis. He emphasized that Ukraine is acting not merely to strike, but in response to attacks.
