Zelenskyy warned of Russia's attempts to derail the FREYJA project

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia will attempt to disrupt the implementation of Ukraine’s FREYJA project, which is intended to serve as the foundation for a future anti-ballistic missile coalition.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is already working with international partners to create a missile defense system. This requires bringing together countries that possess the necessary technologies and components and are ready to provide funding.

“The Russians will do everything they can to throw a wrench in the works and delay the unification of the strongest companies that have the potential to create such a system,” Zelenskyy said.

The president noted that companies such as Saab, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Leonardo, as well as German manufacturers, could join the project. According to him, this is not only about creating protection for Ukraine and Europe, but also about developing a strong European defense market.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy announced a new position for Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland.

Ukraine will make every effort to force Russia to end the war before the start of winter 2026. To this end, Kyiv will continue to intensify diplomatic and sanctions pressure on the aggressor in cooperation with international partners.
