Zelenskyy Removed Former Prosecutor General Kravchenko from Yet Another Position
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Decree No. 970/2026 on partial changes to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. According to the document dated September 28, former Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko has been removed from the NSDC.
The decree amends Article 1 of Presidential Decree No. 501/2025 of July 19, 2025, which regulated the council’s membership.

On September 22, Acting Prosecutor General Anton Kovalsky ordered the launch of an internal investigation. Its purpose is to verify the circumstances surrounding the organization and execution of Ruslan Kravchenko’s official business trip abroad.
The Office of the Prosecutor General settled its final accounts with Ruslan Kravchenko following his dismissal from the position of Prosecutor General. He was paid his salary and compensation for all unused days of annual leave, though the Office of the Prosecutor General did not disclose the specific amount of the payment.
After leaving Ukraine, former Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko registered his primary residence in Vienna. However, as “Ukrainska Pravda” discovered, the address listed in the Austrian registry is that of a company office, not a residential address. Journalists speculate that this may have been done to conceal his actual place of residence in Austria.
Journalists from “Schemes” reported that they found information in the Dubai registry regarding an investment by Alina Shkrobanez, the former mother-in-law of ex-Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, in a townhouse valued at approximately $670,000. The property, with an area of over 143 square meters, was purchased in July 2023, when Kravchenko headed the Kyiv Regional State Administration. Shkrobanets herself denies having purchased the property and suggests that her personal information may have been used without her knowledge.
