Zelenskyy Appointed a New Ukrainian Ambassador to the Comoros
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree appointing Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Union of the Comoros. The relevant document has already been made public.
According to the decree, Yuriy Tokar, the current Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya, will hold this position concurrently.

Tokar was born in Lviv, where he graduated from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a degree in “International Relations.” He began his career as an attaché and third secretary in the U.S. and Canada Division of the Fourth Territorial Directorate/Department of Bilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. He has worked at various embassies around the world, including as a consul at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin.
Yuriy Tokar also headed the consular section of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of America. And since 2022, he has served as Ukraine’s Consul General in Wrocław. On July 21, 2025, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed him Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya. In this position, he will replace Andriy Pravdnyk.

This is statedin a decree by the President of Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada has named potential candidates for the position of prime minister.
On July 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans for personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers and the leadership of law enforcement agencies, intended to ensure the implementation of the country’s updated political strategy.
