Zelenskyy and the Slovenian delegation discussed the Drone Deal and support for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Kyiv with Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tone Kaiser and Minister of Defense Valentin Hajdinyak. The parties discussed preparations for a Ukrainian-Slovenian agreement under the “Drone Deal” framework, joint defense projects, and the security situation in the region.
The Slovenian delegation also included representatives from the country’s leading companies.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine and Slovenia are already working on the “Drone Deal” agreement and discussed the initial results of this work.
“Our countries are working on the Drone Deal, and we discussed the initial results and joint defense projects that we can implement,” the president noted.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the further development of defense cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was given to support for Ukraine amid Russian aggression.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Slovenia for its $50 million contribution to the PURL program. As part of this initiative, the partners are directing funds toward the procurement of American weapons for Ukraine.
The president also thanked the Slovenian side for its overall support of Ukraine.
During the talks, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Tone Kaiser, and Valentin Hajdinyak discussed Ukraine’s future in a united Europe, security in the region, and ongoing Russian attacks.
Separately, the Ukrainian and Slovenian sides paid tribute to the Ukrainian servicemen who died defending their country. The participants observed a minute of silence in their memory.
The meeting was a continuation of Ukraine’s work with partners on defense agreements under the Drone Deal framework and joint projects in the field of security and defense technologies.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has arrived in Kyiv.
